Mystery Theater / Radio Drama from the archives of the CBC Scenario Productions presents:
Volume 4 of Mystery Theatre contains three tales by Nathaniel Hawthorne. "Dr. Heidegger's Experiment" tells the story of a magic potion that brings back youth to three old friends. They toss it back and, as one might expect, the scene turns ugly. But how long will the spell last? Next up is "Mr. Higginbottom's Catastrophe," a story of how damning false rumors can be, and even more so after the fact. The final offering from Hawthorne is"The Strange History of David Swann." This is a moralistic narrative that states, "Fortune doesn't smile on those who sleep." Just add to the fun, we have included Frederick Spoerly's "The Cable Car Incident." To put it simply, two friends are caught in a cable car. They believe that one must jump to save the other... or is someone just pulling their legs?
